Varias personas vierten su sangre sobre banderas estadounidenses, produciendo manchas con las formas de decenas de territorios militarmente agredidos por los Estados Unidos de Norte América desde el siglo XIX. La acción fue replicada, clandestinamente, en la ciudad de Detroit (USA).
De otro lado, camisetas impresas con imágenes del colectivo Wash The Flag (Washington DC, 1991 - 2003) y de la bandera de los EEUU, son manchadas de sangre humana para formar los perfiles de dichos territorios.
La acción y las camisetas hacen visibles las manchas morales a las que hacen referencia las acciones del mencionado colectivo estadounidense, denominadas "Wash The Flag" y consistentes en lavar banderas estadounidense cada Flag Day (14 de junio) frente al Capitolio en Washington DC, en alusión al belicismo de los EEUU.
Several people shed their blood on American flags, producing stains in the shapes of dozens of territories militarily attacked by the United States of America since the 19th century. The action was replicated, clandestinely, in the city of Detroit (USA).
On the other hand, T-shirts printed with images of the Wash The Flag collective (Washington DC, 1991 - 2003) and the US flag are stained with human blood to form the profiles of these territories.
The action and the T-shirts make visible the moral stains referred to in the actions of the aforementioned US collective, known as ‘Wash The Flag’ and consisting of washing US flags every Flag Day (14 June) in front of the Capitol in Washington DC, in allusion to US warmongering.
